Moving on from secondary school

There's a lot to think about when leaving school - going to university or polytech, getting started in a job, or doing an apprenticeship are just some of the options. Here are some websites and resources that can help with the decision making.

Help deciding what to do after secondary school

Careers NZ

Careers NZ is you and your child's "go-to" place for help in deciding the next steps after secondary school.  They can help with career ideas, study and further education options, writing a CV and job hunting.

Once your child has some ideas about what they want to do you can use the Careers NZ course database to find out about providers near you. The database includes information about apprenticeships and workplace training.

Check out the Careers NZ website,  their interactive tools and their Education and Training Database
